The ATI drivers which are installed with Mac OS 8.6 have a bug in them which will cause many 3D games including Bugdom to exhibit serious texture corruption on Macintoshes with ATI Rage II chips.
To fix this problem you should do the following:
1. Go into your Extensions folder and throw all of the ATI files into the trash.
2. Run the ATI Universal Installer 3.3 which is on the Bugdom CD, or go to the ATI web site and download the latest drivers (www.atitech.com).
Only older Macintoshes have Rage II chips. All newer Macintoshes have either Rage Pro or Rage 128 chips and are not affected by this problem. Rev A iMac's, original beige G3's, and some older PowerBook G3's have the Rage II chip.
To determine if your Mac has a Rage II chip do the following:
1. Launch "Apple System Profiler" (from the Apple menu).
2. Click on the "Devices and Volumes" tab.
3. Toward the bottom of the window on the PCI line, click the "Display Card" triangle.
4. If the Card Name says "mach64" or "RageII", then you have a Rage II. Otherwise you have a newer ATI chip and do not need to worry about any of this.
